Transit Beats Traffic to Flower & Garden Show

Plant yourself on Caltrain or SamTrans and take a ride to the San Francisco Flower & Garden Show March 24-28 at the San Mateo County Event Center in San Mateo. The show will be held from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday to Saturday, and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.

The event center, at 2495 S. Delaware St., is a short walk from the Hillsdale Caltrain Station, at the corner of El Camino Real and Hillsdale Boulevard. SamTrans Routes 390 and 391 stop on El Camino Real, a couple of blocks away from the entrance to the event center, which also is served by Route 292.

This event houses thousands of flowers and plants with all their rich colors, fragrances and textures. There will be four acres of flower gardens, free seminars for all gardening levels and shopping at 300 exhibits.
