Take SamTrans and Caltrain to the Peninsula's Festival

The San Mateo County Fair has a new name and a new flair. The Peninsula's Festival has all the traditional fair favorites including the carnival and a fireworks show together with new contemporary exhibits such as the Green Fair. See the latest in green technology for your home.

Avoid traffic and parking hassles by taking SamTrans or Caltrain to the fairgrounds until Aug. 23, when the carnival games are packed away for another year.

SamTrans Routes 390 and 391 stop on El Camino Real, a couple of blocks away from the entrance to the fair, which also is served by Route 292. The fair is located at 2495 S. Delaware St. in San Mateo.

Caltrain provides daily service to the Hillsdale station, just a short walk from the fairgrounds.

SamTrans will be at the fair on Green Transportation Day, Thursday, Aug. 20, with information about transit service throughout the county, as well as the “Art Takes a Bus Ride” bus. The bus is wrapped in the winning entries from the District’s annual student art contest.
