Take Caltrain to Menlo Park’s Connoisseurs’ Marketplace

Go green this weekend by leaving your car behind and getting onboard Caltrain to the eco-friendly 23rd Annual Connoisseurs’ Marketplace Saturday, July 18 and Sunday, July 19 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Menlo Park’s popular festival of visual, performing and culinary arts is located adjacent to the Menlo Park Caltrain Station on Santa Cruz Avenue, between El Camino Real and Johnson Street. Thousands of visitors are expected to pour onto downtown streets for a celebration of art, music, food and all-around family fun.

This year, the festival is embracing green practices with an emphasis on recycling and composting. Food vendors will be required to use recyclable and compostable serving utensils. Large brown bins will be placed in the food areas for composting left-over food scraps and paper products. Also, this event will feature the latest exhibits on organic, healthy, eco-friendly products with free samples and demonstrations on how to live a “greener” lifestyle.

Caltrain offers hourly weekend service making all local stops between San Jose and San Francisco. For more information about Caltrain schedules and fares, call 1.800.660.4287 (TTY 650.508.6448).
