Take Caltrain to Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl Jan. 9
College football fans can help save the planet and feed America by leaving the driving to Caltrain as they head to the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl at AT&T Park in San Francisco Sunday, Jan. 9 at 6 p.m. From the Caltrain terminal at Fourth and King streets, it’s a one-block walk to the park.
This year, Boston College will take on Nevada; the game will be televised live on ESPN. For every game ticket sold, Kraft will donate one meal to each of its partnering local hunger organizations, which includes the San Francisco Food Bank, St. Anthony’s Foundation and the Glide Foundation.
In addition to its regular service, Caltrain will operate two post-game special trains. An express train will depart 20 minutes after the game ends, making its first stop in San Carlos. Then, it will operate as a local to the San Jose Diridon station. An extra local train will depart San Francisco 25 minutes after the end of the game, making all local stops to San Jose.
Regularly scheduled trains offer a variety of departure times from San Francisco until 9:15 p.m., leaving fans time to celebrate before heading home.
Caltrain does not allow alcohol on trains after 9 p.m. following a special event. Disruptive passengers will be asked to detrain. For Caltrain schedules and fares, call 1.800.660.4287 (TTY 650.508.6448).
