San Francisco and San Jose Ticket Office Closure: How to Buy Caltrain Passes

Customers who used to purchase their Caltrain Monthly passes and 8-ride tickets at the San Francisco and San Jose ticket offices can purchase them through station ticket vending machines or through retail locations for ClipperSM, the regional fare payment system. Paper Commuter Checks are accepted by most Clipper retailers, with those closest to the closed ticket offices listed below.

San Francisco

Parking permit

Caltrain customers who have a Monthly Pass or 8-ride Ticket loaded on their Clipper cards may purchase one monthly parking permit from the station ticket vending machine (parking permits are not sold at retail outlets). Click HERE for information.

Caltrain closed the two ticket offices as one of the steps it took to close a $2.3 million budget gap.
