SamTrans and Caltrain Service on Fourth of July Weekend

July 3, SamTrans will operate an abbreviated weekday schedule. On July Fourth, SamTrans will operate a Holiday schedule.

July 3, Caltrain will operate a regular weekday schedule. For the Fourth of July, Caltrain will operate a regular Saturday schedule, plus extra service for Giants baseball and Independence Day Fireworks.

For baseball fans, a special train will depart the San Jose Diridon station at 10:30 a.m. The train will make all local stops, arriving in San Francisco at 12:06 p.m.

Following the fireworks, Caltrain will operate two express trains departing San Francisco at 11 p.m. (or when full) and at 11:15 p.m. to San Carlos before making all remaining local weekend stops to the San Jose Diridon station. The third special service train will depart San Francisco at 11:30 p.m. and make all local weekend stops to San Jose Diridon. The last regularly scheduled train will depart at 12:01 a.m. and make all local weekend stops to San Jose Diridon.

Caltrain reminds passengers to drink responsibly and to remember that alcohol is not allowed on trains beginning at 9 p.m.
