New Commuter “Market” Opens at Hillsdale Caltrain Station
Luke’s Local, a commuter “market” that sells fresh produce and prepared dinner meals, will celebrate its grand opening at the Hillsdale Caltrain Station today. Caltrain customers will be given samples from Luke’s dinner menu of chicken pot pie and salmon with citrus salad during the evening commute.
The new business, located in the former ticket office at station, will be open Monday to Thursday from 6:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. and again from 4 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.; and Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. Luke’s is closed Friday evenings and weekends.
Luke’s Local mission is “to provide busy commuters with high quality, locally available and nutritional foods, all while supporting small farms, reducing packaging, and ultimately reducing the energy consumed by the food industry.”
