New Coffee/Pizza Business Opens at Hillsdale Caltrain Station

Wood Fire Woodie, an artisan pizza vendor, will celebrate its grand opening at the Hillsdale Caltrain Station from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, May 15. Caltrain customers are invited to stop by on their way home and taste-test a sampling of pizza.

Before opening the concession in the former ticket office at the Hillsdale station, Wood Fire Woodie served up pizzas from a custom-built Woodie, the iconic surfers’ vehicle, outfitted with an Italian wood fire oven.

During weekday commute hours (6 a.m. – 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. – 8 p.m.) the vendor will sell coffee, espresso, baked goods, lunch items and take-and-bake pizzas. On Wednesday and Friday evenings, the Wood Fire Woodie will serve made-to-order pizzas. For more information, visit www.woodfirewoodie.com.
