Go Green, Take Transit to USGS Open House

The Green Team at the U.S. Geological Survey in Menlo Park is encouraging people to take public transportation to their popular open house, scheduled for Saturday, May 16 and Sunday, May 17. The free event is an opportunity for people to interact with scientists, enjoy hands-on exhibits and gain a greater appreciation of our connection to the natural systems of our dynamic planet.

Caltrain provides hourly service on Saturdays and Sundays. The USGS facility, located at 345 Middlefield Road, is about 1 mile from the Menlo Park Caltrain Station.

SamTrans Route 296, which operates between Redwood City and East Palo Alto, with stops at the Redwood City and Menlo Park Caltrain stations, also serves the facility.

Caltrain is a proof-of-payment system. One-way tickets, Day passes or 8-ride tickets can be purchased at Ticket Vending Machines at the stations before boarding.
