Catch Caltrain to Stanford Game Against Wake Forest

Catch Caltrain to Stanford Game Against Wake Forest

Stanford has made Caltrain a part of its game plan for all home games. On Saturday, Sept. 18, the Cardinals will take on the Wake Forest Demon Deacons at 8:15 p.m., which is the only scheduled night game this season.

Designated trains serve the Stanford Stadium Caltrain Station for each game. Located above Embarcadero Road at Alma Street, the station is just a short walk to the stadium. Given the late start for the game, customers are encouraged to check the train schedule to plan their trip and make sure they can catch the right train home. The last northbound train for the night will stop at the station at 10:59 p.m., likely before the game ends. The last southbound train will stop at the station at 11:19 p.m. No extra service will be provided.

As an alternative, please consider using Palo Alto. All Saturday trains serve the Palo Alto station, which is located one-half mile north of the stadium station.

Since there are no ticket vending machines at the Stanford station, riders are advised to purchase a Caltrain Day Pass at their departure station before boarding the train to go to the game. Caltrain is a Proof-of-Payment system and all passengers must have a valid ticket.

Kickoff times are subject to change due to potential television coverage. For additional information about train service and fares, call Caltrain at 1.800.660.4287 (TTY 650.508.6448).
