Caltrain Takes You to san jose “Cinco de Mayo” celebration
Thousands of people are expected to attend San Jose’s annual “Cinco de Mayo” celebration on Sunday, May 3. You can avoid traffic and parking hassles by taking Caltrain to the San Jose Diridon station. Caltrain offers hourly service on Sundays, making all local weekend stops between San Jose and San Francisco.
From the train station, take VTA’s Mountain View light rail line to the Convention Center station.
The celebration will take place in Guadalupe River Park, near downtown. The event kicks off with a parade from 9 a.m. – noon. The parade features floats, colorful costumes, marching bands, drill teams and an assortment of decorated entries. The festival, which is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., includes entertainment, food, booths, arts & crafts and a children’s stage.
