Caltrain Takes Sharks Fans to Playoffs

The Sharks are advancing in the Stanley Cup playoffs and Caltrain is coming along for the ride. Caltrain offers frequent service on weekdays and hourly service on weekends to the San Jose Diridon station, just a short walk from the Shark Tank.

After weekday evening games, regularly scheduled trains depart the San Jose Diridon station at 8:30 p.m., 9:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. If the game ends after 10:30 p.m., Caltrain will run a special train that departs 20 minutes after the match concludes and serves all local stops to San Francisco.

Caltrain is a proof-of-payment system, and each customer is required to have a valid ticket before boarding. The rail agency recommends that customers purchase a Day Pass on the way to the game so they don’t have to worry about post-game ticket lines.

Caltrain reminds customers that alcoholic beverages are prohibited on trains departing after the Sharks evening games.
