Caltrain Roars into San Francisco for Annual KFOG KaBoom Celebration
South Bay and Peninsula residents can take advantage of extra train service to San Francisco for the 14th annual KFOG KaBoom celebration Saturday, May 9. Caltrain will add capacity on trains 435 and 437, departing San Jose at 2 p.m. and 3 p.m., respectively.
From the San Francisco Caltrain Station at Fourth and King streets, passengers can board the Muni N-Judah or T-Third Street line for the short trip to Brannan Street. The entrance to the KaBoom celebration is right across the street on Piers 30/32.
This year’s KaBoom will feature a range of performances for children and adults on several stages, as well as food, vendors, and of course, the legendary fireworks display at the end of the evening.
Following the fireworks, Caltrain will operate two special trains in addition to its regular service. The first special will depart San Francisco at 10:20 p.m. and express to San Carlos before making all remaining local weekend stops to the San Jose Diridon station. The second special will depart San Francisco at 10:45 p.m. and make all local weekend stops to San Jose Diridon. Caltrain's last Saturday train from San Francisco departs at 12:01 a.m., making all local weekend stops.
