Caltrain Launches New Website
Caltrain Launches New Website
With the launch of Caltrain’s revamped website earlier this summer, it’s now easier than ever for Caltrain riders to find the information they need.
The new website has a more user-friendly design. It features updated menus, a dynamic site map and an integrated search function. Scalable font sizes provide easier readability, while “breadcrumbs” provide a clear navigation history. Users also can subscribe to e-mail notifications about an expanding list of topics. Non-native English speakers are able to translate the website into several languages via Google Translator.
Each Caltrain station now has its own page with detailed information, including train times, types of service, available amenities, transit connections and a direct link to the Google Maps Trip Planner. Real-time train information will be added in mid-2011.
Caltrain has been developing this new website for more than a year, incorporating suggestions from focus groups, surveys and customer comments. The new Content Management System also makes editing the website easier for Caltrain.
The Caltrain website currently receives approximately 260,000 visitors a month. Join them at www.caltrain.com.
