Caltrain Executive Director Featured on Radio Call-in Show
Michael J. Scanlon, Caltrain’s executive director, was interviewed by Carl Guardino, president and CEO of the Silicon Valley Leadership Group, on Radio KLIV’s CEO Show, on Dec. 21.
Scanlon also serves as the executive director of the San Mateo County Transportation Authority and as the general manager/CEO of the San Mateo County Transit District. As board chair for the American Public Transportation Association, Scanlon heads up an international organization that is the leading force in advancing public transportation.
The hour-long call-in show features some of Silicon Valley’s tech industry heavyweights.

Caltrain is a commuter rail line operating between San Francisco and San Jose, with commute service to Gilroy. Average weekday ridership on the mix of 86 local, limited and express weekday trains is 42,000. Local, hourly service is provided on Saturdays and Sundays.
