Caltrain Board Elects Officers, Welcomes New Board Members
The Peninsula Corridor Joint Powers Board, which runs Caltrain, elected new officers and welcomed two new board members at its February board meeting. In a unanimous vote, Don Gage was elected chair and Sean Elsbernd was elected vice chair.
Chair Gage, who represents the Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority board on the JPB, also is a Santa Clara County supervisor. Vice Chair Elsbernd, represents the San Francisco County Board of Supervisors.
The board also swore in two new members, Mark Church, who represents SamTrans, and Ash Kalra, who represents VTA.
The Caltrain board has nine members, with representatives from each of the three counties through which the rail service operates – San Francisco, San Mateo and Santa Clara. The Caltrain board meets the first Thursday of each month at 10 a.m. at 1250 San Carlos Ave. in San Carlos.
