Caltrain

In the wake of introducing Baby Bullet service and its 98 weekday train schedule, Caltrain began to explore what it would take to move to the next level of rail service, offering more trains, faster commute times, more frequent connections and better, more efficient infrastructure and equipment. The result of this evaluation is a 20-year plan, called Caltrain 2025, which provides a comprehensive look at each project Caltrain has in progress or in the planning stages. It focuses on infrastructure and capital improvement to allow for expanded operations in the future.

With an array of major capital projects to complete, Caltrain 2025 looks at the next two decades over increments of time and helps to outline specifically where the agency will be five, 10 and 20 years from this point.

Caltrain 2025 provides a comprehensive road map of what the agency must do to continue to be a vital commuter rail system throughout the 21st century.
