The San Francisco Giants begin the home portion of their 60th season in San Francisco with a quick two-game interleague series against the Seattle Mariners, and Caltrain is ready to get you to and from AT&T Park.
The home opener is set for Tuesday, April 3, at 1:35 p.m. Caltrain will run two extra pre-game local trains that will depart San Jose Diridon Station at 10 a.m. and 10:20 a.m. These trains, labeled with “S” in the schedule, make all local weekday stops to the San Francisco Station. The regular weekday schedule offers plenty of southbound service after the game. The station is just one-block away from the ballpark.
Game 2 is the following day Wednesday, April 4, at 4:15 p.m. Fans can ride Caltrain to the San Francisco Station on the regular weekday schedule, which offers plenty of northbound and southbound services to and from AT&T Park. Caltrain will run two extra post-game local trains that will depart approximately 15 minutes and 25 minutes after the last out or when full. These trains make all local stops to the San Jose Diridon Station (the post-game Belmont Express train will no longer be in service).
Caltrain is a proof-of-payment system; tickets are not sold onboard trains but can be purchased at vending machines at the stations. To save time on the return trip, passengers are encouraged to buy a Day Pass or utilize the new Caltrain Mobile ticketing app. Clipper card users are reminded to tag on and tag off.
Parking at Caltrain stations costs $5.50 for the day, and permits can be purchased through ticket machines onsite. Paid parking rules are enforced throughout the day. Parking permits cannot be purchased on the Caltrain Mobile app.
To help make it a pleasant trip for all, Caltrain reminds fans to drink responsibly and to remember that open alcoholic beverages are prohibited on trains departing from San Francisco beginning at 9 p.m. on game days.

About Caltrain: Owned and operated by the Peninsula Corridor Joint Powers Board, Caltrain provides commuter rail service from San Francisco to San Jose, with limited commute service to Gilroy. Caltrain enjoyed five years of consecutive monthly ridership increases, surpassing more than 65,000 average weekday riders. While the Joint Powers Board assumed operating responsibilities for the service in 1992, the railroad celebrated 150 years of continuous passenger service in 2014. Planning for the next 150 years of Peninsula rail service, Caltrain is on pace to electrify the corridor, reduce diesel emissions by 97 percent by 2040 and add more service to more stations.
